Final Force
The NCAA Championship, one of the five or six premier sporting events of the year, tips off at a ridiculously late 9:20pm Eastern. If basketball is so concerned with recruiting children under 12 (many of whom wear shoes) what is the point of starting this game at such a prohibitive hour?
The biggest advertising draw of the sports world The Super Bowl, still kicks off at a comparatively reasonable 6:30 Eastern giving most East Coast kids a chance to view at least 3 quarters before it’s time to get tucked in. There are some who could argue, “Well, most kids have off this week for Spring Break” but that argument still falls flat when dealing with a child whose bedtime is a liberal 10pm on a ‘non’ school night.
Christ, half the kids in the friggin’ game probably have curfews that will pass during the course of tonight”s contest. It’s just plain WRONG!
